ABRACADABRA

Each physical object is defined by an internal power which either was given to it by nature or obtained as a result of certain actions... This power has a constant influence on ambient space, in objects and of course on time. Hence our surroundings, our world, is a place of constant interactions and power exchanges. That is why our physical and spiritual state, abilities and skills, way of thinking and behavior, mental and visual appeal, our social status and courses of life, can depend on things with which we daily communicate.

Speaking about such objects, with no doubt, we can ackowledge that they behave differently, and when it comes to influence they can be categorized by their amount of power.

Such power-valuable objects are talismans and amulets. The word talisman is derived from Arabian word tilism or tilsam, translated as “a magical picture” or “a magical script”. Talismans were special objects with arcane inscriptions and magical symbols.

They were produced from stone, metal or wood, with written magical formulas to protect the bearer from disasters or fulfill certain wishes. The most known ancient talisman inscription is the so-called “abracadabra” — the word that is read the same in all directions. Usually, it is pictured as a triangle inverted by top downwards and the word is divided into separate letters.

Although, of unknown origin its first known occurrence is in the second century works of Serenus Sammonicus (Liber Medicinalis), according to the Oxford English Dictionary. Several folk etymologies are associated with the word, from phrases in Hebrew that mean "I will create as I speak", or in Aramaic "I create like the word"...
